Denied my son's medication saying he did not meet the criteria. We appealed and received notification that he did meet the criteria and the medication was approved.

22 days later and the insurance tells me that Accredo has told them that they never received the notification & there is no way for insurance to send it to them! They want the Dr. to resubmit the request and they will put it up for review again! Our health plan changes on 1/1/2017 and the meds which would cost $120 for the total treatment if the script was filled will now cost almost $2,000 after the change.

Total and complete scam! Anthem can't get anywhere, our insurance rep can't get anywhere & my son gets sicker every day.

Product or Service Mentioned: Accredo Prescription Refill.

Reason of review: Order processing issue.

Monetary Loss: $2000.

Preferred solution: Accredo needs to process the approved medication, for the full treatment at the price it would cost if they had filled it when it was originally requested..

I didn't like: Time consuming, Refused to fix their mistakes.
